Maybe someone can give me a logical answer to the following question
I travel on Williams drive almost every day and I am totally confused on the way this project is being constructed. It appears to have no logical direction in that it appears to me that an area is excavated, utilities of some type are installed and then back filled and compacted shortly afterward this same area is excavated again and the same process is completed a second time.
Why did'nt the PM or the GC start at one end and complete the work thats being done and proceed down Williams Dr.until you get to the other end???
I'm not an Engineer however I have been involved in construction forover 35 yearsand this project has got me stumped!

The current construction plans for Williams Drive Project call for installation of street lights at signalized intersections only as safety enhancement lighting.

Please tell me there will not be a string of continuous street lights on Williams after it is completed. Our neighborhood already has lighting intrusion from the new funeral home as well as lights from businesses on Williams Drive. Thank you for your response.

There will be two travel lanes in each direction with shoulders, plus a continuous two way left turn lane throughout the length of Williams Drive. The shoulders provide a place for bicyclists.

From Clayton Weber, construction project manager for PBS&J:
Yes and it should be very soon. The sign was damaged by the contractor during waterline installation. The brick pillars were rebuilt quickly, but the sign is taking longer. As soon as it arrives from the sign company it will be installed.

The sign structure opposite Del Webb Boulevard, along the south side of Williams Drive, will be taken down and salvaged by the contractor for the Williams Drive Widening Project.
