The low-water crossing over Berry Creek on Oak Tree Drive will be closed starting on Tuesday, April 21. The closure is to allow for the construction of the new Oak Tree Drive Bridge. According to the construction timeline, the new bridge should be complete and open to traffic by January 2010, weather permitting.

During the construction period, the crossing over Berry Creek at Oak Tree Drive will be closed. Traffic detours will be marked in the area.

What are the detours? Please provide this somewhere on the site. Thanks.

Ms. Kersch,

I am attaching a detour map within the body of the news article above so that other readers can easily find it.

In addition to providing this detour map online, the City has obtained five “realtor boxes” -> the free-standing information boxes realtors use to distribute information about a house for sale.

We are placing these boxes around the Berry Creek neighborhood containing the above DETOUR maps, so that residents and drivers unfamiliar with the area can more easily find this information.

Please feel free to email or call us if you would like more information. For construction specific information, you can directly contact Bill Dryden, our Transportation Engineer at (512) 930-8096 or bdryden@georgetowntx.org.
